Tim White Media Consultancy can call upon a solid team of experienced and high quality freelance journalists, chosen to best represent the client. Our staff members also have years behind them in the industry!
Tim White (Managing Director)
A multi-skilled journalist with over two decades of experience in journalism, Tim founded the Tim White Media Consultancy in 1999. His love of journalism was fostered at a local newspaper and radio station in the UK, from which he paved the way to become a Sport Editor at the age of 21. He would soon progress to Head of News and deputy director of a radio station.
As his career developed, Tim formed his own company specialising in reporting and training as well as operating as an agency to recruit news and sports reporters based on incoming orders. The company has since gone from strength to strength and Tim has allied his managerial skills to fruitful teaching methods on the popular and successful Broadcast Journalism BA course at the University of Leeds.
Tim’s skills as a journalist have passed examination in a number of fields throughout his career. He is a regular on British radio and has been employed in the past in television by Sky News, Sky Sports ITV and Five. Furthermore, he has embraced the multimedia age by his involvement in a podcasting team in recent years.
Passionate about news, sport and the future of journalism, Tim seeks new contracts and challenges with the Tim White Media Consultancy in the coming years.

Martyn Hindley (Operations Director)
Martyn’s route into broadcasting opened at the age of 11, when he won a national radio competition for young football commentators. He built on that with local newspaper reports on non-league football from the age of 15.
Martyn started to work for the Tim White Media Consultancy in 2002 as a freelancer and spent three years producing the Leeds United Live show on Radio Aire, presented by Tim White. In that time, Martyn also built up his stature on-air with local radio work in both news and sport and also had a spell at BBC Radio York before joining the BBC as Lancashire cricket correspondent in 2006.
From August 2006, Martyn would also present the Lancashire Cricket Show on Channel M in Manchester and would build on his cricket portfolio with BBC Radio Five Live work in 2007 and 2008, commentating on Test Match Special during that time on domestic matches. His book about Twenty20 cricket across the world was published in summer 2008.
By that time, Martyn had been recruited as the second full-time staff member of TWMC with the position of Operations Director. His specialism in European and World football makes him an integral part of the company’s work with UEFA.com and also, commentary on Russian Premier-Liga. Furthermore, he has recently become a pundit on BBC World’s weekly Football Review show.
